International triumph at the Brussels Beer Challenge - Theresianer Antica Birreria di Trieste 1766

Theresianer at the top with a gold medal for Vienna

Belgium, the beer nation par excellence, welcomed the 11th edition of the Brussels Beer Challenge, an international beer competition. A panel of 85 international experts tasted and evaluated more than 1,800 beers from all over the world, divided into categories and grouped by style and origin.

Typicality, organoleptic characteristics, correspondence and pleasantness were the pluses that convinced the jurors to assign the highest votes to the beer that has always been the standard-bearer of the Theresianer style: Vienna was awarded the Gold Medal.

The historic style of the Vienna Beer, born with the figure of Anton Dreher at the end of the 1800s, continues today with the production of Theresianer, – declares President Martino Zanetti. – Now, 22 years after the foundation of the brewery in Nervesa della Battaglia, it is awarded the Gold Medal at one of the most important European competitions in the world. I dedicate this result to my Master Brewer Stefano Bertoli and to all the Theresianer staff who have worked with commitment, passion and competence”.

Theresianer Vienna is a beer with character, boasting a perfect balance between malt and hops. Fresh and delicate, it reveals fruity notes and hints of caramel. It is distinguished by its coppery color and its natural, never excessive sweetness.

The top medal at the Belgian competition shows Theresianer’s ability to select and process raw materials with the utmost attention and to be the bearer of a production method of excellence that once again puts the company at the top of the international brewing scene.
